Aeródromo de Palikulo Field


Ubicado en la esquina suroriental de la Isla Espíritu Santo. Al sur de la península de Pallikulo y Pallikulo Bay, y más tarde Bomber 2 Airfield (Pekoa). También conocido como: Bombardeo de campo Nº 1, Pallikulo, o Fighter 1.

Fue construido por Estados Unidos antes de la guerra para bombarderos pesados. El 1 de junio de 1943, la pista era 6200 'x 150'. En la base estuvieron parte de la 13º AF, BG 5, 23 BS (B-17, B-24) y del USN / USMC el VMD-154 (Consolidated PB4Y), VMD-254 (B-24) y VMO-250 (J2F)

Hoy día está descuidado y en desuso desde la guerra, sin embargo, la pista se mantiene en excelentes condiciones.
