Kolomyja, Galizien

The nine members of the expedition was flown from Berlin to Riga, and from there the idea was to travel on another airline to Kiev but the flight was canceled and had to drive 12 hours to make up to 720 kilometers Kolomyja (a about 50 km east of Stanislav). In that place were a mass of 350 soldiers of the Wehrmacht. The ground was hard and clay and it was not until day 21 when the first remains, a burial pit with 20 soldiers. That day, 11 of them recovered with 7 badges, but unfortunately only 5 were legible. The next day, for no apparent reason the landowner denied access to continue the search work. They went to another place but again were denied permission to access land to demand a payment of $ 5,000 to dig "dead." Despite the intervention of the mayor's attempts to convince this greedy civilian were unsuccessful.
